The brief was to create a five-year development plan to attract new membership to the National trust and increase visitor numbers at the Mount Stewart site. Research concentrated on an analysis of target audience and the public perception of the National Trust. The Five-Year Master Plan was completed in November 2001. First phase implementation was completed by Scroope Design in March 2002. The profile of the National Trust Northern Ireland Region rose within both the community and the organisation in England. Funding has been granted for implementation of the next phase. The first phase development was also awarded the Interpret Ireland and Heritage Council Award 2002.
