Cultúrlann MacAmhlaoibh is situated within the Sliabh Luachradh region of counties Cork/ Kerry and Limerick.
Scroope Design carried out an appraisal of the building, local cultural resources, activities and assets, existing and envisaged audience, operation and management resources.

Keeping in mind that an Interpretative Centre can be different things, this study identified a broad set of recommendations on site facilities, marketing needs and in particular the need for a cultural hub for Newmarket and hinterland. The interpretative strategy articulated an interpretative vision, aims, opportunities and benefits and included a pathway programme, identifying tasks, skills and broad budget requirements.
