The Highland Folk Museum, Scotland
The Highland Council
The initial study, commissioned in 2004, addressed visitor profile, exhibition and education programmes, collections management and on-line access. In 2009, we were commissioned to create a 20 year business plan for the Museum identifying phased capital investment, expenditure and target revenue. The work addressed target audience and envisaged demographic and profile changes, collaborations with other heritage sites and educational services and articulating a full programme of annual events and activities.
The business planning elements were robust and shrewdly tested. In addition to that thoroughness, Scroope Design brought creativity and ‘extra mile’ enthusiasm to the plan, contributing to the fleshing out of the overall vision. Highland Council's elected members judged te plan clear, coherent and exciting.
