Living Inside
Kilmainham Gaol Museum

This temporary exhibition explores the lives of six people who influenced Irish prison reform, highly complex and sensitive stories.
The design process involved highly engaged collaboration with the client group, Professor Catherine Cox, Dr. Oisin Wall and Dr. Sinead McCann, the Centre for the History of Medicine in Ireland, University College Dublin, and Brian Crowley, Curator Kilmainham Gaol Museum.
The exhibition comprised artefacts loaned from variius national institutions and featured wonderful photography by Derek Spiers.

The large attendance over five months made it one of the most popular temporary exhibitions hosted in the Gaol.
Part of a wider on-going study by the client group in association with the Welcome Trust, the exhibition will be re-displayed in a permanent location.
