The evolution of man’s response to the natural environment and later the economic environment in County Louth is examined in two permanent galleries. This exhibition was the first to introduce digital touch screens and scanning technologies to museums in Ireland, allowing the visitor safely handle replica artefacts while accessing multilayed information.
Special artworks, set pieces and film production reimagine ancient times, the social and spiritual energies of evolution and the agents of change.
'Provocative, brave and challenging...superbly crafted....essentially the real people of Louth are telling their own stories'.
Mary McAleese, President of Ireland 1999
