The National Herbarium
Office of public Works
The National Herbarium studies and interprets thousands of dried plants, seeds and fungi, many over a hundred years old.
In this permanent exhibition we link the science with the beauty of the specimens through spectacular photography, colours, shapes, words, images and materials. The narrative is deliberately and respectfully quirky, a sense of lightness and humour is effected in the film pieces; a nod to 'tip-toeing through the dried garden'.
